As a first generation Latin-American who grew up with a lot of family who were great cooks, I developed an immense appreciation for food. I was born in San Francisco California on June 17th 1988; raised by My Mexican Mother (Dolores Mora ) And Nicaraguan Father ( Jose Mora). Being part of such an amazing family that displayed exceptional cooking skills as well as the fond memories of family gatherings inspired me to become a chef.
I graduated From Le Cordon Blu in Las Vegas, NV in 2012. While studying, I worked for Chef Jose Andreas. After graduating, I took on the opening of Gordon Ramsay Steak. Following the company as a junior sous chef, I moved to Los Angeles CA. After evolving my technique and expanding my palate, I decided to get back to my roots, opening a mobile restaurant in Las Vegas, NV.
After my father's passing I was determined to leave a legacy in his honor; I went to my grandparents for family recipes. It wasn't but month later that my grandpa passed; this is when I decided to bring to life my passion, Mora Dat.
